Dental Crowns: The Royal Treatment for Your Teeth

Reasons for a Tooth Crown
A tooth may need a crown if it has significant decay that a filling can’t repair. If more than 50% of the original tooth structure remains after decay removal, a filling is sufficient. For teeth with leaking fillings or crowns with recurrent decay, a new crown might be necessary.
Types of Crowns:
- Full Porcelain: Mimics natural teeth with translucency and strength
- E-Max: Lithium disilicate crowns are ideal for front teeth due to their strength and aesthetics
- Full Zirconia: High-impact resistant ceramic for durability and appearance

Crown Procedure
Two visits are needed. The first, lasting about 90 minutes, involves numbing, decay removal, and preparing the tooth with a support structure. You will receive a temporary crown, and your impression will be sent to a lab for a custom permanent crown. After two weeks, you’ll return for a 30-minute visit to cement the permanent crown.
Dental Experience Matters: Dr. Ron, with over 30 years of experience, is dedicated to creating beautiful smiles. Just as you’d choose a cardiologist for heart surgery, choose Dr. Ron Sherman, Issaquah’s top restorative dentist, for your dental needs.
Tooth-Colored Fillings
Say goodbye to cavities and tooth pain.
What are They?
Tooth-colored fillings use composite resin instead of traditional metal amalgam to repair decayed teeth. This resin blends with your natural teeth and is safer and more effective over time.
The Process
Dr. Ron numbs the area with local anesthetic if needed, removes the decay, selects a matching composite resin color, and sculpts it to the right shape, before polishing your tooth.
Benefits
Tooth-colored fillings offer several benefits:
Less natural enamel is removed compared to metal fillings, the fillings do not contain toxic mercury, blend with your teeth, and last longer!
Dental Bridges Are Your Smile’s New Friend
Fill in the gaps and get back to grinning in no time!

When you’re missing several consecutive teeth, using two dental implants can effectively support a dental bridge, enabling us to replace three or more adjacent teeth simultaneously. This method offers a significant advantage over traditional dental bridges, as it eliminates the need to alter or remove any enamel from the adjacent natural teeth.
By anchoring the bridge onto the implant posts, we help preserve your remaining dental structures and maintain the integrity of your natural teeth.
